Though the Great Resignation may be over, companies are experiencing a fierce war for talent, grappling with challenges like “quiet quitting,” and navigating increased expectations of new and upcoming generations of employees. According to McKinsey, 85% of senior management agree they can live their purpose in their day-to-day work while only 15% of frontline managers agree.
This doesn’t bode well for Gen Z who place a high value on meaningful work and careers with a positive impact. Most likely to quit if unsatisfied at work, they are also demanding more than other generations when it comes to work including, higher pay, more flexibility, mental health days, and greater work-life balance. As companies undergo a transformative shift from being product-driven to purpose-driven, the question of "why" they exist becomes paramount.
We created the Corporate Purpose Lab to help organizations bridge the "purpose gap" between their employees, senior managers, and investors. We'll help you answer the question all of your stakeholders are asking, "Why does this company exist?"
Research shows that employees who live their purpose at work are 2.6X more likely to want to stay at their company, and 1.5X more likely to go above and beyond. With an average spend of $20-$30K training a new employee, your company can't afford to fall victim to the purpose gap.
The Corporate Purpose Lab consists of 6 one-hour workshops over the course of three months with our founders, David Porteous and Kent Murawski. Each company also gets a one-on-one session with David or Kent once per month. Apply now for the next Purpose Lab.
